The 24th Seoul International Art Festival SIAF 2017 is themed "Peace & Love" this year and held at the Chosunilbo Museum from Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 6th to 12th of December 2017. . The international art exhibition, SIAF 2017, included different pieces of paintings, sculptures, graphics, ceramics, installations from about 135 artists representing 46 countries, from 6 continents.

The 24th Seoul International Art Festival SIAF 2017 is themed “Peace & Love” this year and held at the Chosunilbo Museum from Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 6th to 12th of December 2017. The event was hosted and organized by the World Culture Artists Association, Inc.(WCAA), and managed by the International Creative Artists Association (ICAA) from Republic of Korea. The international art exhibition, SIAF 2017, included different pieces of paintings, sculptures, graphics, ceramics, installations from about 135 artists representing 46 countries, from 6 continents: Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North and South America. The curator of the event was Ms. Bosuk Lee, chairwoman of the World Culture Artists Association, Inc.(WCAA) and president of 21 C International Creative Artists Association(ICAA), as well as a well- known Korean artist. During the festival was also the international academic art seminar 2017 “Antiwar”, at the Induk University(Woonbong Hall) from Seoul.

The curator of the event was Ms. Bosuk Lee, chairwoman of the World Culture Artists Association, Inc.(WCAA) and president of 21 C International Creative Artists Association(ICAA), as well as a well- known Korean artist

 

Like as said, the event of open ceremony took place at the 6th of December 2017, Chosunilbo Museum, 33, Gil 21, Sejongdae-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea and 46 countries were represented by their artists; among them from Europe were 15 European Union member states (Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Sweden) and another 6 European countries. The annual event introduces world cultural to the Korean audience, with the participation of some foreign diplomatic missions in Seoul : were there the ambassadors from Bangladesh, Brazil, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Peru, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, as well as Embassy’s cultural affairs from Egypt and Embassy’s Chief of Mission from Latvia and Romania.

I was very glad to meet at the opening Mr. Costin-Adrian Ionescu, Diplomatic Counsellor – Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Korea, it was a really pleasure both of us.

The Royal Guard Changing Ceremony at the Gyeongbokgung Palace, considered the most beautiful of the Five Grand Palaces in Seoul. Gyeongbokgung, also known as Gyeongbokgung Palace or Gyeongbok Palace, was the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty, built at the end of XIV century.

I was proud to be again in Seoul, after 10 years, when I participated in September 2007 at the 16th edition. I was selected and invited to representing Romania also at the 24th edition of the international exhibition SIAF 2017. The participation of the artist Claudiu Victor Gheorghiu at the XXIVth edition of the International Art Festival-SIAF was sponsored by the program “Catena pentru artă (Catena for art)”, my presentation flyer in English was supported by the Romană Art Gallery from Bucharest. My name is GHEORGHIU CLAUDIU VICTOR and I was born in October 1967 in Bucharest. In 1998 I took the master degree at University from Bucharest , the Faculty of History- universal old history section- with theme (CONSTANTIN the GREAT and CHRISTIANITY) at professor LIGIA BARZU. In 1991 I graduated Art School , PAINTING section with TITU DRAGUTESCU. I painted sacred pictures from 1990. I paint in technique tempera or tempera with egg on wood. During the period 1992-1994 I was managership at COLEUS modern art gallery . I am member of the Association Branch of Religious Plastic Arts and Restoration : AFAPRR of UAP from Romania: Romanian Fine Arts Union from 9th of April 2016, admitted by contest. I was member in Plastic Background(FP) belong Romanian Fine Arts Union (UAP) from 7th of December 2000, admitted by contest. From 25th of May 2015 I was elected Media advisor of the Steering Committee of the Association Branch of Religious Plastic Arts and Restoration : AFAPRR of UAP from Romania: Romanian Fine Arts Union. From 2014 I am member VISARTA(from March 31, 2017, I was elected in the Steering Committee of Visarta, during the period 2017-2022), the Romanian Visual Arts Copyright Collecting Society. I have 4th Personal Exhibitions with sacred art organized by UAP from Romania- Romanian Fine Arts Union in Bucharest (2001,2003,2004 at ArTei Gallery, 2007 at Galateea Gallery) and another at Silva Gallery in Busteni(2007-2008). I have also 2 Personal Exhibitions in Italy : I was Honor Guest, representing Romania, with sacred art, June 2003 at Pisa and in October 2006 ”The ICONS, sacred pictures in contemporary world” at Viadana(Mantua). I won some prizes in Italy and I participated, admitted by contest, at some art fairs and international exhibitions around the world, representing Romania: most of them in Italy, but also in France, Greece, Japan, Peru, South Korea, Switzerland. From May 2015 to January 2016 I was Contributing Editor at CULTURE (Fine Arts, Exhibitions, History, Religion) at the newspaper Jurnalul Bucurestiului. From 17th of January 2016 I was advanced Senior Editor at the same newspaper . From 1st of November 2015 to 31st of December 2016 I was Contributing Editor and Thematic Advisor at News Agency Lacasuri Ortodoxe and Press service LO News. From 1st of January 2016 I am Senior Editor at CULTURE at the Intell News: Global news, press and event analysis.
