
The exhibition of the Romanian-German cultural dialogue entitled “Art 100”, curators Anca Boeriu and Olivia Yanku, took place yesterday at the Galateca gallery, June 15, 2018. It is an extremely interesting event, and will also be held in Aachen, in Germany, with works on the cymas signed by 46 artists, 23 Romanians and 23 Germans. The exhibition from Bucharest will be open to the public between June 15-23, 2018. The “Art 100” exhibition is a modern cultural event, who develops a contemporary curatorial concept, bringing back the role of the artist and culture into society. Galateca from Bucharest is a multidisciplinary art and design gallery, located at the ground floor of the Central University Library „Carol I“, in a lively and modern space.

At the open ceremony from yesterday spoke: Andreea Sandu, founding director, coordinator and initiator of the Galateca Gallery; the curators of the event: Anca Boeriu, representing Romania and Olivia Yanku, representing Germany; Petru Lucaci, President of the Romanian Visual Artists ’Union of Romania.

The event is supported by the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as by the MEPs Sabine Verheyen and Siegfried Mureşan.
The exhibition is designed to be itinerant in Bucharest and Aachen, which gives to the Romanian and the German audiences the chance to experience contemporary art from several fields of visual expression, from the traditional forms( such as painting, drawing, engraving ) to the contemporary forms, like video art, photography, installation.
